The Perfect Steak!

I have been in a slump. People say that if you try too hard for something, it won't happen. They say wait, relax, it will come to be when you least expect it. As soon as I started to give up on ever finding and cooking the perfect-tasting steak, it happened. I'll whine no more. A couple of New York strip steaks (grain fed) and a red-hot iron skillet gave me what I have been waiting for. A few minutes on each side, and I was in carnivore heaven. No need for words, I'll let the pictures do the talking.

MMMmmmmmmm!!!

Pretty darn good if I do say so myself...and the eggs.

Oh Yummm!! Are those mushrooms and baked jacket potatoes I see there as well?? I simply adore steaks that are done Medium Rare where the juices just flow out and the meat melts in the mouth. And what better way to enjoy them than with mushrooms! I'd ask for a little mustard too but these steaks look just divine!

Very true, Christine! ..and Dharm, those are baby portabella mushrooms and onions sauteed together, with small potatoes on the side. Oh- I love mustard, it would have been good with them..or I should learn to make some type of mustard sauce!! I like mine medium rare too- that's perfect.
